Jon Moxley suffered a major loss at AEW Full Gear 2025, but the One True King managed to share details about his next steps with fans before leaving the event.
In what is being considered a shocking outcome, Conglomeration's Kyle O' Reilly, who has been feuding with Jon Moxley and his group, the Death Riders, for the past several weeks, overcame the odds to defeat the Purveyor of Violence in a one-on-one No Holds Barred match last night at Full Gear 2025. Although Moxley's recent track record in big matches hasn't been great, fans didn't expect the former AEW World Champion to lose to O' Reilly for the third time in a row after Moxley tapped out to the Violent Artist's ankle lock. Following the match, the One True King attacked O' Reilly while he was being tended to by the medical team.
Later in the show, in a backstage video posted by All Elite Wrestling on X, Mox addresses his loss, takes shots at O'Reilly, and reveals his immediate plan: to keep fighting.
"The battle continues tomorrow, that's what the life is about man. Y'all celebrating the regular season, man. You don't look too good, it's a shame because the playoff's about to start," Moxley said [H/T: WrestleTalk]You can check out AEW's post here.
Rumors about AEW star Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose) returning to WWE are reportedly false.
Jon Moxley has had a turbulent few months in All Elite Wrestling when it comes to in-ring action. The Purveyor of Violence has lost most of the pay-per-view matches he's participated in since losing the AEW World Title to Hangman Page at All In: Texas. Still, the One True King remains one of the most influential stars in Tony Khan's promotion, and a recent report dispelled rumors of him returning to WWE.
As per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the Purveyor of Violence still has years left in his current All Elite Wrestling contract and is nowhere close to rejoining WWE. According to rumors, Moxley is signed with Tony Khan's promotion at least through 2027.
