John Harbaugh linked to signing former Ravens standout to Giants in free agency

It would certainly make sense for John Harbaugh to bring some of his former Baltimore Ravens players to his new team, the New York Giants.

The head coach obviously can't bring everyone, but guys who are free agents would certainly seem like good targets.

One of those? Isaiah Likely.

The Ravens gave a contract extension to fellow tight end Mark Andrews midway through last season, which makes it seem like they'll be just fine letting Likely go elsewhere.

Harbaugh could be the beneficiary.

The Giants already have a talented young tight end, Theo Johnson, but they could certainly use a guy like Likely to help Jaxson Dart.

Pro Football Focus writer Bradley Locker has made the link, suggesting Likely as the ideal target for the Giants this offseason.

"The John Harbaugh era is now underway in New York, which means several former Ravens could flock to the Giants," Locker writes. "Likely would be a logical target as he seeks his next destination."

Likely has rarely gotten a full opportunity in Baltimore because of a full stable of tight ends, but maybe he could find his wings under Harbaugh in a new stop.

"Likely underperformed in 2025 with a 57.0 PFF receiving grade, but he flourished with a 77.1 mark and 1.71 yards per route run in 2024," Locker writes. "It’s also worthwhile to consider that Giants tight ends finished last season 23rd in receiving grade. The 25-year-old still feels like he has untapped potential, and joining forces again with Harbaugh wouldn’t be surprising."

The Giants didn't end up landing Todd Monken to remain Harbaugh's offensive coordinator, which could make the link a little less perfect. But it probably wouldn't be too pricy a contract for New York to land a talented offensive player.
