John Harbaugh continues to fill out his large Giants staff

New Giants head coach John Harbaugh was widely known in Baltimore to have a rather large staff with the Ravens.

And, based on the litany of hires he has made since the Giants brought him in to lead their franchise, that trend has followed him up I-95 to New Jersey.

Then Giants on Friday announced six news staff members, beginning with Sam Rosengarten, who will serve as the director of high performance.

In addition, Big Blue hired five football “analysts” — Skyler Mornhinweg, Taylor Kolste, Patrick Moynahan, Kyrell Michael and Bonner Bordelon.

The Rosengarten hire is the most noteworthy because he has nine years of NFL experience working in the same post with Harbaugh while both were with the Ravens.

As the Giants’ director of high performance, Rosengarten will oversee player monitoring systems, training load management, recovery protocols and performance analytics.

Before his Ravens stint, Rosengarten worked for the Sabres, monitoring and running their injury prevention program for two seasons, while also overseeing the day-to-day care of the players.

He also previously consulted with the Knicks, Thunder and England’s Lawn Tennis Association.

Mornhinweg, the son of former longtime NFL head coach Marty Mornhinweg, has worked extensively with quarterbacks throughout his career.

He was the assistant quarterbacks coach at Colorado, quarterbacks coach at Columbia and was the offensive coordinator/QB coach at Midwestern State.

Mornhinweg also was a quarterback on the Florida Gators from 2012-2014 but played just sparingly before transferring to Columbia for the 2015-16 seasons.
