Joe Rogan has some grand plans if he can play matchmaker for the UFC White House event. The commentator and podcaster wanted two big names to fight on the card and put a title on the line.
However, it isn’t a regular UFC championship. Rogan wanted a heavyweight version of the BMF title on the White House card.
The BMF title is a symbolic belt given to the toughest, most crowd-pleasing fighter in the promotion. There have been several fights for the BMF title and it’s current champion is Max Holloway.
The White House event is potentially the biggest card the UFC might do, and Rogan wanted two huge stars to fight:

“They should do Alex Pereira and Jones at the White House.”The podcaster and commentator then added:
“A heavyweight version of the BMF belt.”Gable Steveson, who is a fast-rising star on the MMA circuit, agreed with Rogan and explained why Jones vs. Pereira would make sense:
“That would be perfect. There’s nothing else to it besides two guys just going out there. There’s Alex Pereira, the baddest light heavyweight and there’s Jon Jones, the baddest heavyweight right now. Regardless if someone else has the belt, Jon Jones is still the baddest heavyweight out there.”Rogan also added that a belt doesn’t actually mean much because of Jon Jones’ power. The podcast host believed people would pay to watch ‘Bones’ even if there was no belt on the line.

Chael Sonnen doesn’t think Jon Jones is “bright”
Alex Pereira and Jon Jones have been consistently calling each other out for a White House fight, but the Brazilian recently posted he wasn’t going to fight on the card.
Jones has also said that he wants to fight on the White House card, despite Dana White not being entirely sure about it.
Chael Sonnen recently spoke about Jones and claimed that Jones might be going through some personal issues like Ilia Topuria, but he didn’t believe that the American is making the right moves:
“I forgive Jon Jones. And Jon Jones is going through a lot right now like Ilia… I wish him well. He’s missing the point. The company coming out and saying that they can’t trust him and him making a demand that he will only fight on one [White House card]. That is what they are saying, ‘We can’t trust you.’”Sonnen added:
"Nobody gets to pick what card they come back and they only come back for this. Jon’s doing his best. He’s just not very bright.”Why did you not like this content?
