Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears secured a 25-24 victory over the Washington Commanders back in Week 6. They were trailing 24-16 in the fourth quarter. However, Williams found D'Andre Swift with a 55-yard TD pass to give his team a fighting chance before Jake Moody's 38-yard field goal sealed the win.

The Bears quarterback completed 17 of 29 passes for 252 yards and a touchdown against the Commanders. However, ex-Cowboys star Troy Aikman was critical of his assessment of Caleb Williams and the Bears. He called Swift's touchdown a lucky chance during the broadcast.

"That's why Swift was open as he is. And then you make one guys miss- now with his speed, he's off to the races, Just, um, luck on Chicago's part."

After the game, Caleb Williams took to social media to call out Troy Aikman for his comments. He also tried to pin the blame on the three-time Super Bowl champion for why they couldn't meet. However, during an appearance on "SI Media with Jimmy Traina," analyst Joe Buck shared his version of the story, highlighting how the Bears quarterback was at fault.

He said that Williams did not meet them not only in Week 6 but in Week 1 as well.

"That whole thing happened after the Washington game," Buck said (Timestamp-6:30). "We had them Week 1 and we had already been through that. These meetings are all set up on their time. ... We understand that you guys are busy. You're preparing for a game. The last thing you probably want to do is talk to us. ... But we wil do it for you on your schedule. "We had that same issue with Caleb in Week 1. And then we had it again. I guess he brought it up saying, 'Well, I didn't talk to Troy before the game.' But we sat on a Zoom waiting forever and he just never came! I don't know what else we can do."

Heading into Week 16, Caleb Williams has helped the Bears to a 10-4 record while leading the NFC North. The quarterback has tallied 3,150 yards and 21 TDs passing.

Troy Aikman responds to Caleb Williams' social media comments

Last month, during an interview with "Front Office Sports," the ex-Cowboys legend finally broke his silence on the feud between him and Caleb Williams. Aikman also highlighted how Bears coach Ben Johnson criticized him for his commentary.

"I never want to cross the line where I'm not respectful to the participants on the field because I do know how hard the position is," Aikman said. "And quite honestly, you didn't ask this, but being in Chicago and with the Caleb Williams situation: when you do live television for 25 years, there's bound to be times when you say something, and you're like, 'I wish I could take that back.' "That game was not one of those. I walked about of that game feeling like, 'OK, it was a game that came down to the wire.' It's fun, whatever. On Tuesday evening, I had dinner and I got home. ... and all of a sudden I see Ben Johson comes up and it got Troy Aikman written on there. And I'm like 'What's this?' ... I didn't go back and watch the broacast, but I would challenge anyone to go watch it and tell that any analysis that I gave was unfair."

The Bears next face the Packers on Saturday at 8:20 p.m. ET.
