Aaron Glenn's New York Jets earned their first win of the season in Week 8, beating the Cincinnati Bengals 39-38 at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Jets had suffered seven straight defeats before beating the Bengals.
Although the Jets ended their winless run heading into their Week 9 BYE, Glenn has chosen not to name his starting quarterback for their Week 10 game against the Cleveland Browns.
"You know I'm not gonna give you that answer," Glenn said. "You'll find out soon who our starting quarterback will be. Justin did a hell of a job against Cincinnati, but you know I'm gonna keep that close to the vest."•

Glenn also explained his own reason for not disclosing the team's QB1.

"It helps the quarterback's confidence when the player and coach talk, and they know who the guy is, not that I'm telling it to you guys," Glenn said. "That has nothing to do with the player's confidence."Aaron Glenn won't reveal his QB decision: "You know I'm not going to answer that." #Jets
Justin Fields was New York's starting QB against the Bengals. He went 21 of 32 for 244 yards and one touchdown, while adding 31 yards on 11 carries.
Fields has completed 64.1% of his throws for 1,089 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions in seven starts. He has also rushed for 288 yards.
Glenn, however, used the same tactic before the clash against the Browns and a few times this season, when he decided not to disclose the Jets' starting quarterback for Week 8.
The Jets also have Tyrod Taylor as another quarterback option. Taylor has appeared in three games this season and started in place of an injured Fields against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.

Glenn said Taylor will resume practicing this week. This means the Jets coach could have both Fields and Taylor available for selection against the Browns.
Cleveland, on the other hand, has had its own struggles at quarterback this season.
