Jerry Jones may have revealed Giants-Cowboys matchup in Week 1

The New York Giants may have to prepare for another Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

It would be no surprise at all if the NFL schedule-makers again pitted the two division rivals against each other in Week 1, which has been typical over the last decade.

However, the official schedule release for the 2025 season doesn't arrive until Wednesday, May 14.

That doesn't matter to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, though, who may have let it slip that the Giants are set to face Dallas in Week 1.

So wait did Jerry Jones just leak week 1? Is it the Cowboys Vs Giants week 1???? pic.twitter.com/RRqeV95a26

"We need you to be smart and come in here and dig and go for it and get it out so we can line up against the Giants Week..." Jones said via Giants Wire. "Can you do that?"

Though it can't be confirmed after Jones' voice trailed off, it's fair to assume the Cowboys owner was talking about Week 1 of the season.

The Giants and Cowboys haven't faced off in Week 1 since the 2023, but it's one New York fans will want to forget. That game resulted in an embarrassing 40-0 blowout at MetLife Stadium, setting the tone for a 6-11 season.

We'll see what the schedule reveal has in store for the Giants, but it wouldn't be a surprise at all if Dallas is the opponent in Week 1.
