"Jericho's work in AEW is done" - The Le Champion urged to immediately leave and return to WWE by wrestling legend

A WWE veteran has suggested that AEW star Chris Jericho should leave the company. Le Champion has been one of the biggest names the promotion has had to offer. He feuded with promising stars and elevated them to the main event scene. It seems like he is set to leave the Jacksonville-based promotion in just a couple of months, as his contract ends in December 2025.

The inaugural AEW World Champion is reportedly joining WWE as he seeks a retirement tour and a Hall of Fame induction. Along with the global sports entertainment juggernaut, other promotions have also reportedly approached him as his current contract is set to expire soon.

On Busted Open Radio, veteran Bully Ray said that Chris Jericho has done plenty for AEW and claimed that the Demo God should retire in WWE.

"In my opinion, Jericho's work in AEW is done. There's nothing left for him to do there. He has been as credible as an in-ring wrestler as he has been a sports entertainer (...) It's time for Chris Jericho to move on and finish out his career, if he wants to finish out his career, in the company that made him the biggest star ever, which is the WWE," Bully said. Bully Ray says AEW's Chris Jericho should return to work with LA Knight

The Demo God is known for his impeccable promos. Another star has been dominating the microphone in WWE for the past few years: LA Knight.

On Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said Chris should return to WWE to feud with The Megastar.

“You just want Chris Jericho to retire because he’s going to be 55 and work behind the scenes. I’m sorry. I just don’t. I would bring Chris Jericho back to the WWE just to work with LA Knight. If you told me that that was the only thing he was going to do for one year, that’s good enough a reason alone," Ray said.

It will be interesting to see where fans will see the Le Champion in 2026.
