The mention of US President Donald Trump in the newly released Epstein files by the House Oversight Committee has reportedly caused quite a stir. According to People, Mark Epstein, the convicted sex offender’s brother, recently offered some clarification after his email mentioning “Trump blowing Bubba” went viral.
In a story published on Sunday, November 16, 2025, Mark told The Advocate that remarks about photos of Donald Trump “blowing Bubba” had nothing to do with Bill Clinton, the former President of the United States. He said:
“For the avoidance of doubt, the reference to ‘Bubba’ in this correspondence is not, in any way, a reference to former President Bill Clinton.”While “Bubba” is reportedly a nickname of Bill Clinton, Ali Clark, a spokesperson for Mark, told The Advocate that:
“[‘Bubba’ is a] private individual who is not a public figure.”Explaining that the attention surrounding the newly released emails is unwarranted, the spokesperson explained:
“They were simply part of a humorous private exchange between two brothers and were never meant for public release or to be interpreted as serious remarks.”Meanwhile, Mark’s March 2018 email included an exchange in which he asked his late brother to ask the 79-year-old politician’s former chief strategist, Steven Bannon, if Russian President Vladimir Putin has “the photos of Trump blowing Bubba.” The exchange read:
“You and your boy Donnie can make a remake of the movie Get Hard.”What did Donald Trump say about releasing Epstein files?

In contrast to his earlier opposition, United States President Donald Trump has reportedly called on Congress to make public the additional files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. On Sunday, the politician wrote on his Truth Social platform:
“House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party.”This move comes after the US President demanded that Attorney General Pam Bondi and the FBI investigate the sex offender’s links to a number of his critics, including former US President Bill Clinton and ex-Harvard University President and one-time Treasury Secretary Larry Summers. On Friday, November 14, he wrote on Truth Social:
“Now that the Democrats are using the Epstein Hoax, involving Democrats, not Republicans, to try and deflect from their disastrous SHUTDOWN, and all of their other failures. I will be asking A.G. Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, J.P. Morgan, Chase, and many other people and institutions, to determine what was going on with them, and him.”For the unversed, many of Epstein’s associates maintained close contact with him even after he was registered as a sex offender in 2008. While he was convicted on two counts of soliciting prostitution, including from a minor, Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) on August 10, 2019.
