The New York Giants are debuting a new era for the team, one that's headed up by longstanding head coach John Harbaugh. After 18 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, Harbaugh is in New York and leading this team.
His first game with the Giants really couldn't have gone better. Harbaugh led quarterback Jaxson Dart and the team to a 28-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys on "Sunday Night Football" in primetime.
This is Dart's second season with the Giants, but he's a new quarterback this year under Harbaugh's direction. Now, the NFL's Week 2 is here, and the Giants face the Rams on "Monday Night Football."
Jaxson Dart Faces a Much Tougher Test in Week 2
Here's the thing. Dart looked solid in Week 1 against the Cowboys, but the Rams have a much tougher test and are a totally different defensive challenge.
In a feature from ESPN released on Friday, Jordan Raanan discusses this idea that it'll be a tough test for Dart.
"New York feels good after Week 1. The Giants were the physical, run-first team they told everyone they wanted to become," he notes. "Step one, accomplished. The next step is on the road against the Rams."
Even Dart called it a "great test" to play the Rams, according to ESPN.
"Coach John Harbaugh said he doesn't think there is any way his team has a letdown," Raanan adds. "The players know it's just one of 17 games and this group still has plenty to prove."
So, don't get too overly confident about the Giants just yet. They still have a test or two ahead.
