The Seattle Seahawks entered the second half of Super Bowl 60 in an advantageous position, but they did so without much of an impact from star WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

The reigning Offensive Player of the Year had only three catches for 24 yards on nine targets when he entered the blue medical tent during the third quarter, leaving a struggling Seahawks offense in dire straits as it fought to hang onto a lead.

The NFL receiving leader's head hit the turf during the third quarter of Super Bowl 60, and Smith-Njigba made the decision himself to walk off the field toward the sideline, the NBC broadcast reported.

After being followed into the blue medical tent by a concussion spotter, Smith-Njigba walked back to the locker room under his own power for further evaluation. The injury left Seattle's receiving corps thin, with Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed becoming Sam Darnold's top wideouts with Smith-Njigba off the field.
