Piers Morgan has shared his reaction to a meme that was made following his most recent exclusive interview with Cristiano Ronaldo. The media personality had a sit down with the Al-Nassr and Portugal captain in which he shared his thoughts on several topics.

A hilarious meme was created to summarize the entire interview into two pictures, one in which Morgan proclaimed his love for Ronaldo, with the Portuguese star affirming it in the second picture. Piers Morgan saw the funny side to the meme, even pointing out that they failed to capture the love he has for himself, as well.

"It's worse than you think... I love myself as well", he commented on X.

Piers Morgan has been accused of sucking up to Cristiano Ronaldo in his interviews in order to remain on the good books of the 40-year-old superstar. The meme was created to make a mockery of the interview, reducing it to Morgan expressing his love for Ronaldo.

For the second time in three years, Morgan spoke with Cristiano Ronaldo, a player he has claimed to be the greatest of all time. The pair discussed a number of topics in their 78-minute long interview, which has been released on the Al-Nassr man's YouTube channel.

Morgan's initial interview of Ronaldo in 2022 came just as countries were preparing for the FIFA World Cup, and the then-37-year-old had fallen out with Manchester United, where he played at the time. He spoke about the state of the club and his relationship with the manager, and ended up having his contract cancelled mutually.

Ronaldo makes Cristiano Ronaldo assertion

Former Real Madrid and Brazil great Ronaldo Nazario has asserted that Cristiano Ronaldo is not the greatest footballer of all time. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been spoken about among the all-time greats as he closes in on the landmark 1,000-goal milestone in his professional career.

Ronaldo spoke to ESPN in an interview, pointing out that while he respects Cristiano's goalscoring record, he does not consider him to be the best in history. He stated that the former Manchester United man should be content with a place in the top 10, in his opinion.

"Cristiano scored goals in every way possible, even after changing position. That's not easy to do; he's definitely among the best players in history. But the best? I don't agree. I respect his opinion, but I would put him in the top 10", he said (via Marca).

Cristiano Ronaldo has found the net on 953 occasions in his hugely successful professional career, which has seen him play in Portugal, England, Spain, Italy, and Saudi Arabia. His achievements and longevity have caused many, including himself, to declare him as the greatest ever, but not everyone is in agreement on that.
