Smriti Mandhana opened up on her experience while batting with World Cup 2025 star Jemimah Rodrigues. Smriti and Jemimah played key roles in India's World Cup 2025 winning campaign.
Smriti Mandhana revealed that Jemimah could be scary at times. When she hit a boundary, Jemimah would hit her hand so hard that it almost got fractured. Smriti added how she would funnily ask Jemimah to contain her excitement when they batted together.
"Jemi can be scary at times when she is in her zone. She is a lot better now. But when she used to walk earlier, she would just look down, not even look up. When I hit a boundary sometimes she will hit my hand so hard, it has almost fractured the hand. I am like keep your excitement with you but don't hit me," she said during an appearance on 'The Long Off Show'.Smriti Mandhana also revealed how she would try to calm Harmanpreet Kaur while she was angry. She would get Harmanpreet to remove her anger rather than take any action.
"I tell Harman to talk to me when she is angry, to remove it all on me. I know her. She can talk whatever and I won't feel anything. I tell her it is better to remove it off rather than doing anything there."Smriti, Jemimah, and Harmanpreet played key roles in India's victory at the World Cup 2025. Smriti scored 434 runs, Jemimah made 292 runs, and Harmanpreet made 260 runs in the tournament.
