With injuries at the wide receiver position, the Washington Commanders are hoping for more out of tight end Zach Ertz in the Week 11 game against the Miami Dolphins.
Adding to the injuries to the wide receiver, the Commanders also don't have tight end Ben Sinnott on Sunday after he was ruled out due to injury.
Despite there being plenty of targets up for grabs, Ertz is off to a quiet start in Week 11 versus the Dolphins. Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is Zach Ertz playing today?
Yes, Ertz is active and in the lineup, he just wasn't targeted over the first series of the game for Washington.
Quarterback Marcus Mariota did target two tight ends on the opening drive, but neither one was Ertz.
Mariota connected with wide receivers Jaylin Lane, Chris Moore and Deebo Samuel, running back Jeremy McNichols and tight end Colson Yankoff instead.
Hopefully Ertz gets going on drive No. 2.
