Is Xavier Worthy playing tonight? Why Chiefs WR is off to slow start in Week 17

The Kansas City Chiefs have had a disappointing 2025 season, especially wide receiver Xavier Worthy.

In 13 games this year, Worthy has tallied just 40 receptions for 532 yards and a touchdown. The Texas product was expected to take a step forward in his sophomore campaign, but he's regressed compared to his rookie year.

Worthy has been quiet in 2025, and not much has changed so far in Kansas City's Week 17 matchup versus the Denver Broncos.

Yes, Worthy is active and playing. However, he didn't haul in a catch during the Chiefs' first two drives.

Worthy did receive a target on Kansas City's opening drive, but the young receiver didn't know where he was on the field, and couldn't get two feet in bounds.
