Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios caused a stir with his first Instagram post after breaking up with internet personality Alix Earle. Amid a busy 2025 season with the AFC South team, Berrios made the headlines due to all the speculation regarding his relationship status.

Berrios returned to social media on Thursday, writing a four-word message to caption a series of pictures of himself.

"What did I miss?" the seven-year NFL veteran wrote.

What followed was a series of comments from fans calling him out for the caption.

"Where is your PR team with this caption," one fan wrote. "Out of all the captions you could've picked you chose this one," another fan said. "The audacity," another fan said.

Others joked with the player instead.

"Is this rage bait," one fan said. "I feel this is giving 'I'm single' thirst trap," another fan said. "No way this is ur caption," another fan wrote.

PEOPLE reported last week that Berrios and Earle had called it quits on their relationship, which was followed by an emotional TikTok video from Earle in which she said she would like to celebrate her birthday with people close to her instead of throwing a party.

“Is my frontal lobe developing bc I’m about to turn 25 and usually I stress abt having the biggest party but all I want to do is workout, meditate, play card games, & have good convos w the ppl closest to me,” she wrote in text.

The couple started dating after meeting at a party in February 2023. After going public during the red carpet of the ESPYs, rumors started circulating about a potential breakup. Braxton Berrios was nowhere to be found when Earle joined season 34 of "Dancing with the Stars," fueling rumors of a split.

Braxton Berrios' Texans are back in the race for the AFC South division title

Braxton Berrios' Houston Texans have turned their season around in recent weeks. After a tumultuous 0-3 start, they bounced back and now boast an 8-5 record with four games remaining. They trail the Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4) in the division standings, but have serious chances of clinching a playoff berth.

More recently, they beat the Kansas City Chiefs (20-10) in Week 14 to win their fifth consecutive game. Berrios has played four games this season, posting six receptions on eight targets for 37 yards. Houston will close out the season with duels against the Arizona Cardinals (3-10), Las Vegas Raiders (2-11), LA Chargers (9-4) and the Indianapolis Colts (8-5).
