The Golden State Warriors won’t have long to dwell on their 110-107 loss to the New York Knicks on Sunday night. They’ll be right back in action against the Washington Wizards on Monday night.
But, they still won’t have the services of star guard Steph Curry.
Steph Curry ruled out vs. Wizards due to lingering knee injury
Curry has been ruled out against Washington due to the same lingering knee injury that has forced him to remain sideline since late January. The injury has officially been labeled as patellofemoral pain syndrome, or Runner's knee.
The game in Washington will be Curry's18th consecutive missed game. His last game action came against the Detroit Pistons back on Jan. 30. There remains no clear timetable on a potential return to action for the two-time MVP.
Curry has played in just 39 games for the Warriors so far this season. He's posted averages of 27.2 points, 4.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per performance.
The game between Golden State and Washington will be the first of two on the season. The teams will also meet again later this month in San Francisco. Perhaps Curry will be available for that one.
