The New York Giants are hoping to have wide receiver Malik Nabers on the field when they take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 on Sunday night.
Nabers has recovered from the torn ACL he suffered last season, and while he did turn in all full practices this week, he's also listed as questionable on the team's final injury report.
With uncertainty surrounding the Giants' 2024 first-round pick, here's what we know about Nabers' chances of playing.
Is Malik Nabers playing today?
There is still no definitive answer on Nabers' status.
Based on the fact that he practiced in full all three days of the week, that strongly suggests he's ready to suit up.
However, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler believes it's going to be a game-time decision, so nothing is certain yet.
"Well, it's still up in the air. He looks awesome in practice; he's a full go. The Giants are prepared for him to play. But it's really up to him and how his body feels," he stated. "... So could be more of like a game-time decision.
As for Nabers and Giants head coach John Harbaugh, neither one has committed to Nabers playing.
"I feel pretty good. I feel real good to be honest," Nabers said. "Like I said, you're going to feel good but there's still some things that you're going to have to check off the box for you to participate. So I'm still going through that, still listening to the trainer, still listening to doctors and sharing everything with them."
"My mind is focused on playing the regular season. Playing whenever that is," he added.
So, it looks like Nabers is truly a 50/50 bet right now.
Malik Nabers fantasy football advice
In his last full season, Nabers was a borderline WR1 play, so you're putting him into fantasy lineups, assuming there is no information that he's going to be very limited.
Even in the event that happens, you'd probably be wise to start him anyway, as Nabers could turn in a strong fantasy performance off just a few catches.
