Is Jaylen Brown playing for Celtics vs. Cavaliers tonight?

The Boston Celtics need their remaining stars to avoid the injury bug if they want to endure a meaningful 2025-26 campaign.

With Jayson Tatum expected to miss most, if not all, of the year due to an ACL injury suffered five months ago, the Celtics can’t afford to lose Jaylen Brown and/or Derrick White for an extended period.

Brown is among the five Celtics contributors on the Celtics’ injury report ahead of their Wednesday night showdown vs the Cleveland Cavaliers

Is Jaylen Brown playing vs. the Cavaliers tonight?

Considering Brown is listed as probable on the official injury report with a left hamstring diagnosis, it’s safe to say he’ll likely be available for the Celtics.

Brown has stepped up to the plate for the Celtics as the organization’s No. 1 scoring option. The California product is averaging 26.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists so far this season, shooting 50.0% from the field and 47.8% from three-point land.

Still, Boston has struggled mightily in the early going, winning only one of its first four games and showing it can’t maintain first- and second-half leads (it led by 13 against the Philadelphia 76ers and by eight against the New York Knicks, but came up short in both contests).

Brown, if indeed available, will attempt to help the Celtics secure their second win of the season tonight.
