Is Ashton Jeanty playing in Week 1 vs. Dolphins? Final status for Raiders RB

The Las Vegas Raiders will open the 2026 NFL season against the Miami Dolphins

The good news is that they'll have their star running back available for the contest.

Ashton Jeanty cleared to play in Week 1 vs. Dolphins

There was some concern leading into the game regarding the status of second-year running back Ashton Jeanty, who suffered a non-contact ankle injury during practice in late August.

However, Jeanty practiced fully all week with the Raiders and he's been officially cleared to take the field against the Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. This is obviously good news for the Raiders, and fantasy football owners who have Jeanty on their roster.

Jeanty ran for 975 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie, and he's listed as Las Vegas' starter in the backfield heading into the season.

According to Pro Football Talk, Jeanty said his ankle feels “really good” and he is “super excited” to get back on the field against the Dolphins.

The battle between the Raider and Dolphins is set to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
