NFL Week 1 weather forecasts: Steelers-Falcons, Bengals-Bucs, Jaguars-Browns have concerns

With Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season finally here, we're keeping an eye on the weather forecasts for three different games.

Those three contests are the matchups between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cincinnati Bengals, and the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns.

It's always important to keep an eye on the weather forecasts, as inclement conditions could impact how players perform.

Passing attacks and kicking games are the most susceptible to struggling in bad weather, while rushing attacks are mostly unaffected outside of slick conditions making it more difficult to hold on to the football.

Steelers vs. Falcons weather forecast

• Temperature: 79 degrees
• Precipitation probability: 31%
• Wind gusts: 10 MPH

Along with the rain, there is a slight chance of thunderstorms for the duration of the game, which leaves open the possibility for a delay, either before or during the contest.

At 10 miles per hour, the wind won't be a factor for passing or kicking games, although slick conditions will make holding onto the football tougher.

Browns vs. Jaguars weather forecast

• Temperature: 90 degrees
• Precipitation probability: 46%
• Wind gusts: 8 MPH

There are no thunderstorms in the forecast, but there is a chance for rain, which could complicate things for anyone carrying the rock.

As far as the wind is concerned, there is nothing to be alarmed about there, as 15 miles per hour or more can begin to have an impact on any ball in the air.

Buccaneers vs. Bengals forecast

• Temperature: 85 degrees
• Precipitation probability: 17%
• Wind gusts: 7 MPH

Wind won't be a factor in this contest, and there is only a slight chance for rain, although that chance will remain throughout the contest.

There is also a chance for thunderstorms right around kickoff, but that is expected to go away by the second quarter.
