The Naylor brothers have been given a special chance to begin the 2026 MLB season.

The opening series of the season for the Cleveland Guardians (Bo Naylor) and the Seattle Mariners (Josh Naylor) is against one another, and it includes a national spotlight on Sunday Night Baseball.

The brothers are coming off a fun World Baseball Classic stint playing together for Team Canada, and now they're continuing MLB careers that both have positive elements.

All the while, there's another brother that could be on his way soon.

Is Josh Naylor related to Bo Naylor?

Yep, Josh and Bo Naylor are related.

The pair are brothers. They used to play together for the Cleveland Guardians, but Josh was traded before the 2025 season to the Arizona Diamondbacks, and he was since dealt again to Seattle.

Josh is the older bro.

No, Josh and Bo Naylor aren't twins. 

Josh was born on June 22, 1997.

Bo was born on February 21, 2000.

The Naylor parents are Chris and Jenice.

The family grew up in Mississauga, Ontario.

“There were times where we were kids and our dad had us in the backyard and he would throw us pitches and we’d hit it with just those little mini big bats and he would call out a count or a situation,” Josh Naylor told Cleveland.com in 2024. “Bottom nine, game on the line and you’ve got to get a home run to win it type of thing.”

Josh added: “You have to be ready for those moments, and I think both our parents prepared us. Playing games as a kid prepared us.”
