Russell Dickerson reflected on his time with Keith Urban at the Country to Country festival — and dished on his pal’s state of mind following his divorce from Nicole Kidman.

Page Six caught up with the singer-songwriter at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday, where he was nominated for Favorite TikTok Dance for his viral hit, “Happen to Me” — and he gushed over the opportunity to hang out with Urban at the music festival earlier this month.

“After every night, I was like, ‘I love you so much, you’re my hero,'” he told us, adding that he doesn’t “say this to anybody else.”

“I’ve toured with all of them,” he said, referring to country’s biggest stars. “But Keith Urban is my guy.”

Dickerson recalled that on the last night of the tour, Urban watched his entire set. “I learned his songs when I was learning guitar,” he shared. “He’s such a huge influence on me learning guitar. It was just very cool for him to watch.”

Dickerson joked that he’d “look over” during the performance and say to himself, “Oh, s–t, he’s still there!”

While he admitted the pair didn’t get to play together — Urban was a headliner at the event — Dickerson said due to watching his set, “now [Urban] knows I can rip. And maybe one day I can get up and rip with him.”

When asked by Page Six about Urban’s next chapter of life following his divorce from Oscar winner Kidman, Dickerson said he thinks the Australian country icon is “doing great.”

While noting that he didn’t get to spend “tons of time” with Urban, Dickerson, 38, said he “seemed in good spirits.”

“He’s always been focused on music, and so I think he’s just kind of doubling down on that, and it’s just beautiful,” Dickerson told us. “I can’t wait to hear what comes out of it.”

When asked about a potential collaboration with Urban, Dickerson looked into the camera and declared that Urban had “heard” the question, implying that the pair should indeed collaborate on an upcoming project.

Urban and Kidman — who share two daughters — parted ways last summer after 19 years of marriage, and finalized their divorce in January.

And while Urban, 58, appears to be focusing on his music, the Oscar-winning actress, also 48, has said she’s on a positive path forward.

“I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” she said in an interview with Variety published earlier this month. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that.”
