Injury scare: Top WWE star hurt in dangerous spot

A top WWE star seemingly suffered an injury scare during a match in Mexico. It involved a dangerous spot toward the end of the match, with the star appearing in pain afterward.

On December 20 in Guadalajara, AAA held their Guerra de Titanes event to end the year. The opening match of the show was a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team match involving La Parka and Octagon Jr., Los Americanos, Mr. Iguana and Niño Hamburguesa and the Latino World Order.

The finish of the match involved La Parka and Octagon Jr. hitting a Tandem Spanish Fly on Del Toro. The LWO member was wincing in pain and holding his right knee after the move. It appeared that Octagon Jr. landed on his leg during the Spanish Fly spot.

La Parka finished off the match with a spinning slam to earn the win for his team. The WWE star continued to hold on to his leg before rolling out of the ring. It's unclear if he suffered a serious injury or if it was just a stinger.

La Park and Octagon Jr. would then celebrate with Canelo Alvarez's son, who was wearing a Penta mask and attire. The iconic boxer was one of several celebrity guests welcomed by the WWE at the Guerra de Titanes.

Austin Theory was listed as injured, but he recently returned last Monday on RAW. He revealed himself as the masked man who has been helping Team Vision. Naomi is also out, though she's on maternity leave.
