IndyCar veteran Felix Rosenqvist and his wife Emille Rosenqvist are expecting their first child. The couple made the big announcement via an Instagram post on Monday, November 3, which had a carousel of photos capturing the emotional moments of the journey so far.
Felix Rosenqvist and Emille got married on September 21, 2024, shortly after the IndyCar season ended. There was a grand ceremony in the picturesque Norrvikens Trädgårdar, a timeless and historical garden in Sweden, where both hail from. The 33-year-old driver's former teammates, Marcus Ericsson, Scott Dixon, and Pato O'Ward, who was one of his best men, were in attendance for the ceremony.
Over a year later, the couple is expecting their first child. They made a collaborative post on Instagram to announce it to the world. The post had several photos, including ultrasounds of the fetus, Felix Rosenqvist kissing his wife's belly, and their emotional embrace after the pregnancy test. The succinct caption to the post read:
"🤍 MOM & DAD 🤍 !!!!"The post drew a barrage of congratulatory messages from the IndyCar world, including messages from his Meyer Shank Racing teammate Marcus Armstrong, Pato O'Ward and his sister Elba, commentator Will Buxton, Kyle Kirkwood, reigning champion Alex Palou, the newly retired Marco Andretti, Scott Dixon, Conor Daly, Marcus Ericsson, and many more.
Graham Rahal, who welcomed his third daughter on October 17, also congratulated the Rosenqvists. Another driver who is expecting a child in the offseason is Josef Newgarden, who also has a three-year-old son.
Rosenqvist had a fantastic racing year, finishing sixth in the IndyCar standings and matching his best result from his rookie season with Chip Ganassi Racing. The 33-year-old finished in the Top 10 in ten of 17 races. Four of those were Top 5 finishes, including a podium at Road America.

Felix Rosenqvist and his wife Emille got engaged in November 2023. She took her husband's surname after their wedding at the Norrvikens Trädgårdar in Båstad, Skåne, in southern Sweden.
Ahead of the 2025 IndyCar season, the Meyer Shank Racing driver described the pivotal moment of their personal lives as being 100 times better than they expected. In an interview with Swiss publication Expressen, the No. 60 Honda driver said:
"It turned out a hundred times better than we could have dreamed of. Everything was perfect. Everything turned out exactly as we wanted. It was 25 degrees Celsius at the end of September. It had rained for three weeks without a break before our wedding, it was a nice day, and then it continued to rain for several weeks again."Emille had posted a soul-stirring post on her Instagram account after their wedding, describing her feelings and how overwhelmed she was with the "emotional rollercoaster" in the days leading up to the wedding with her 'dream' man.
Felix Rosenqvist will continue to race alongside Marcus Armstrong at Meyer Shank Racing for the 2026 IndyCar season. The season kicks off with the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on March 1.
