Steve Sarkisian's Texas Longhorns up against the Michigan Wolverines in the Citrus Bowl
Steve Sarkisian led the Texas Longhorns to a 9-3 regular season record. Their losses were against Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Georgia. However, the Longhorns were excluded from the College Football Playoffs, finishing just outside the Top 12.
A consolation for the Longhorns is the 2025 Citrus Bowl against the Michigan Wolverines (9-3). The Wolverines also missed out on the Playoffs after suffering three losses in the regular season.
It's the first time in three seasons that the Texas Longhorns won't be playing in the playoffs. They were knocked out in the semifinals in the 2023 and 2024 campaigns. This season's performance saw a slight blip in their typically solid regular-season showings.
Next up for Sarkisian and his troops is a showdown with fellow college football powerhouse, the Michigan Wolverines. The Wolverines are looking to finish their season on a high note amid drama from the Sherrone Moore firing. With that in mind, here's how to watch the 2025 Citrus Bowl game:
- Date: December 31, 2025
