Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham shared her honest take on public marriage proposals, especially at huge sporting events. Cunningham discussed her disdain for the gesture on the latest episode of her "Show Me Something" podcast with West Wilson.
Cunningham brought up the viral marriage proposal at a recent Ole Miss game. During the third quarter, a fan ran to the field to kick a field goal as part of a promotion. His girlfriend came out with him, but instead of taking the field goal, he dropped down on one knee to propose, as per Yahoo! Sports.
Luckily for the guy, the woman accepted, and they are now happily engaged to be married. However, Cunningham expressed her dislike of public proposals, venting on Wilson and sharing what she'll do if it happens to her.
"I swear, if anyone were to ever propose to me at any sporting event, I would punch them in the nose and I would leave," Cunningham said. "I think it's gross. There's no way in hell. If someone were to ever do that to me, actually, they wouldn't do that because I wouldn't be getting proposed to, cause they would know I would not want that."You can watch the video at the 33:08 mark.
Sophie Cunningham confirmed back in May through TikTok that she's single. Some older gentlemen tried to shoot their shot at Cunningham on Wednesday at The Annika. They faked getting hit by her long drive, and some even fell to the ground to gain a hug and sympathy points.

Clark wasn't the only Indiana Fever player at the event, with Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull serving as her guest caddies. There were plenty of fans, just like last year, showing their support for Clark.
At the 10th hole of the day, Clark invited Cunningham and Hull to hit a drive with her. Cunningham admitted that she wasn't a golfer, and the last time she tried to drive a ball, something bad happened.
Well, the Fever forward hit a couple of bystanders. She quickly went to her victims and checked on them. They were laughing, so things turned out alright, with Cunningham posing for selfies and signing the fans' jerseys for the trouble.
