'I thank him everyday' - Melissa Jefferson-Wooden pens strong message after massive success in the season

World champion sprinter Melissa Jefferson-Wooden shared a powerful message after a massive success in this season. Despite being allegedly snubbed for the World Athletics Awards, the Olympic champion sprinter is focusing on the future targets.

Jefferson-Wooden thanked the Almighty for His blessings, as she shared an inspirational quote on her Instagram story. She shared a photo of a T-shirt which proclaimed at the back, 'Walk in the room like God sent you.'

The 24-year-old sprinter shared her reaction as she wrote in the caption,

"Because He did, and I thank him everyday for the life that he's blessed me with"

Previously, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden's husband, Rolan Wooden II penned a heartfelt note on their anniversary. Wooden II wrote on his Instagram account,

"Well a year ago, you made my dream come true. I have become a better man from it, and will continue to be the best man I can be for you! I love you, Happy Anniversary baby💙"

Melissa Jefferson-Wooden had married Rolan Wooden II after dating for more than four years in March 2025 at Winter Park, Florida. The couple had met each other for the first time at the Coastal Carolina University, when they represented their college in athletics and football respectively.

Melissa Jefferson-Wooden had a fantastic season in 2025. From the Diamond League to the World Championships, name it and she won it all.

Jefferson-Wooden began her season with the Kingston meet of the much-talked-about Grand Slam Track League. The 24-year-old sprinter participated in almost every athletic meet associated with the Grand Slam Track. With the lone exception of the women's 200m event at the Miami meet, Jefferson-Wooden won almost every event she participated in.

Though she didn't participate in the Diamond League finals held in Zurich, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden won every Diamond League meet she took part in. The American sprinter had created a meet record at the Silesia leg of the Diamond League, with a time of 10.66 seconds.

However, the icing on the cake was Jefferson-Wooden's performance at the World Championships held in Tokyo. The 24-year-old sprinter won the elusive 'triple crown', i.e., gold medals in all the prime sprinting events. Melissa Jefferson-Wooden established a new Championship record when she won the women's 100m finals with a time of 10.61 seconds. She further won gold medals in the women's 200m finals and the women's 4x100m relay events, respectively.
