United Kingdom's top striking export, Jonathan Haggerty, recognizes how lucky he's been to build his championship legacy on combat sports' biggest platform.

The reigning ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion reflected on his career journey during an interview with the Mulligan Brothers podcast.

"It's the belt again. You know, it's that ONE Championship belt [that defines my legacy]. That's the main motivation. I think ONE, the whole company, ONE Championship, everybody wants to be on that. You know, everybody's screaming, I want to be on ONE Championship. And I'm thankful that I got on that big stage from such a young age, which motivated me the most," Jonathan Haggerty shared.

The Knowlesy Academy and Team Underground martial artist captured the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title in just his second promotional appearance, defeating legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao in May 2019.

Four years later in April 2023, he knocked out another icon—Nong-O Hama—to claim the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai crown.

The Englishman's dominance extended into kickboxing when he knocked out Brazilian striker Fabricio Andrade at ONE Fight Night 16 in November 2023, capturing the bantamweight kickboxing world title.

He successfully defended that championship against Chinese megastar Wei Rui at ONE 171: Qatar this past February, cementing his status as one of striking's most accomplished two-sport threats.

Jonathan Haggerty's younger brother has been following in his footsteps in ONE Championship

Jonathan Haggerty's younger brother, Freddie Haggerty, has also been leaving his mark in the world's largest martial arts organization.

The 21-year-old Londoner has amassed three knockout victories on ONE Friday Fights, showcasing near-similar attacking instincts and finishing power as his elder sibling.

He debuted in style with a second-round highlight-reel win over Dankalong Sor Dechapan, and kept up that impressive streak when he flatlined Maisangngern Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang in the opening round in his sophomore outing.

At ONE Friday Fights 91, he made it a trio of knockouts against Kaoklai Chor Hapayak in Round 3, proving that his match-ending power is just as dangerous in the later frames.

He, however, suffered a loss to Jordan Estupinan at ONE 170 this past January, but he's eager to bounce back in style in search of a chance to join the main roster of the promotion.
