Few WWE stars can claim that they won a world title within their first year on the main roster. One of the most prominent exceptions to that statement is the current Women's World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer.
La Primera made her debut in the Stamford-based promotion as part of NXT in September 2024, and later became the brand's first-ever women's double champion by winning the NXT Women's and Women's North American Championships. She joined the main roster after WrestleMania 41 and went on to win the Women's World Title in September 2025 at Wrestlepalooza.

However, Vaquer breezed through the competition, winning a 20-woman battle royale at Evolution 2025 and then defeating IYO SKY for the vacant world title at Wrestlepalooza. She was originally expected to face Naomi at Clash in Paris, but the match had to be called off after The Glow vacated her title due to pregnancy.
While Vaquer won the title by defeating one of the best stars in the company, it seems like the win came a bit too early for her. Unlike other top stars like Cody Rhodes or Rhea Ripley, who had to try several times to win the top prize, Vaquer won the title in her first attempt without much of a story behind it.
Vaquer doesn't feel like the top star on WWE RAW despite being the world champion
Despite being the world champion on WWE RAW, Vaquer doesn't feel like the biggest star on the brand. Her title reign has seemingly been overshadowed by the resurgence of the women's tag team division and the sheer star power involved there.
The 32-year-old is feuding with Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez right now, but she hasn't managed to showcase her persona much through the feud. In the process, her stock has seemingly taken a hit from when she first arrived in April.
Her credibility could be damaged significantly once she loses the title
It goes without saying that Stephanie Vaquer will drop the title at some point in the future. And her credibility could take a major hit once she does so. One of the main problems is the fact that her persona is not shining through as much as it did on WWE NXT.
Perhaps a feud without the title, where her character is tested and allowed to shine through, could be what is needed to give La Primera more credibility as a star on the main roster.
