Dave Smith has fired shots at Republicans for criticizing Tucker Carlson after he interviewed Nick Fuentes on his show. Fuentes is known for his far-right views and controversial opinions about the Jews.
In his post on X on November 3, Dave Smith commented on the recent backlash Tucker Carlson has been facing since Nick Fuentes appeared on his show in October this year. He wrote:
"So, all of the worst people in the country gathered together to attack the great Tucker Carlson. I’ll be doing a show about it tomorrow (and it’s gonna be a big one) but for now I’ll just say this: You will cancel Tucker Carlson over all of our dead fucking bodies. You war thirsty scumbags have ruined everything for 25 years (at least) and you will never kill the awakening of the American people, which is way over due."He added:
"I challenge all of you to debate this topic. And I mean all of you. Graham, Cruz, Fine, Levin and whoever else you want to bring against little ole non expert me. I’ll wreck all of you, but unfortunately, we all know that you’re all to p*ssy to accept. Not a single one of you are man enough to defend your ideas."So, all of the worst people in the country gathered together to attack the great Tucker Carlson. I’ll be doing a show about it tomorrow (and it’s gonna be a big one) but for now I’ll just say this: You will cancel Tucker Carlson over all of our dead fucking bodies. You war
Among those criticizing Carlson are multiple Republicans, including Congressman Dan Crenshaw and Senators Ted Cruz and Mitch McConnell. Smith mentioned both of them in his aforementioned post. However, opinions are reportedly divided among the Republicans regarding the issue.

The backlash came due to Fuentes' multiple controversial views, including an alleged denial of the Holocaust and other antisemitic opinions.
Carlson has faced widespread criticism for giving Fuentes a platform on his show, given his controversial views. In the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual legislative conference in Las Vegas, Ted Cruz commented on the interview and said:
"Now is a time for choosing. If you sit there with someone who says Adolf Hitler was very cool and that their mission is to defeat ‘global Jewry,’ and you say nothing, then you are a coward, and you are complicit in that evil."Cruz's comments came after the president of the Heritage Foundation, Kevin Roberts, denied that his organization would distance itself from Carlson. He mentioned that they would not be "attacking" the "friends on the right", while agreeing that antisemitism is wrong.
Cruz added that promotion of antisemitic views, such as those of Fuentes, can harm the youth. He added:
"We are seeing young Christians turning against Israel. If you sit silent while hate spreads, you are complicit."Meanwhile, Dan Crenshaw echoed Ted Cruz's views, claiming that the former Fox News host has changed quite a bit "over the last 20 years." Speaking on Face the Nation, Crenshaw said:
"Mr. Cruz put it pretty well. I’ve had a long-standing feud with Tucker Carlson. Glad everyone is also waking up now to how bad of a person he is. He’s changed a lot over the last 20 years. You know, hard to say why. But it doesn’t really matter why."This is not the first time Crenshaw has criticized Carlson, as they have clashed multiple times in the past over their views on US foreign policy and security.
With multiple renowned personalities sharing their thoughts on the ongoing discourse regarding Carlson's interview with Fuentes, the debate continues to soar.
