Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are at risk of missing playoffs
The Kansas City Chiefs have never missed the playoffs during Patrick Mahomes' time as their starting quarterback. In fact, the Chiefs have topped their division in every season of the Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes era.
However, the Chiefs are under real threat of missing the playoffs in 2025. Divisional rivals, the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers, are cruising, while the Chiefs are struggling in what's been a down year for the typically elite franchise.
The Chiefs are currently on the outside of the playoff picture, and they need to win today's game to stand a chance of competing for a wildcard spot. However, they'll have their work cut out against a red-hot Colts side.
It's hard to imagine a playoffs without Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, and Andy Reid. However, a few more losses will seal their fate before the business end of the campaign.
