“I’ll always be the bad guy in the situation” - Jack Doherty reveals how Andrei Arlovski brawl started, blames ex-UFC star for fight

Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua was one of the biggest events in the combat sports world in 2025. This clash attracted MMA personalities and influencers from all around the world, and two of those were involved in a huge brawl backstage.

A video surfaced of former UFC champion Andrei Arlovski beating up three members of Jack Doherty. The YouTuber wasn’t directly involved in the clash, but he did bump with the MMA star before the clash started.

Doherty, who is know for his pranks, could he heard screaming at his crew to back off and leave Arlovski alone.

The YouTuber has now come out and shared his side of the story with the blame squarely laying on the ex-UFC star.

Doherty claimed that it was Arlovski who started the fight and he had nothing to do with it:

“I was just walking by and he tries to kick me for no reason and that’s how it all started… I literally didn’t say or do anything to him but I’ll always be the bad guy in the situation lol”

Doherty, in another X post, hit out at those claiming that he started the fight. He also thought some people were jealous of his age and money, and hence he became their target for this brawl.

Ariel Helwani takes a shot at Jack Doherty’s crew

Taking on an MMA star is not the smartest thing anyone can do, and journalist Ariel Helwani was quick to point that out.

While Helwani didn’t blame Doherty for the brawl, he did say that it would take a “generational dumb***” to start a fight with Arlovski.

Helwani posted this message on X regarding the incident:

“You have to be an absolute generational dumb*** to step to Andrei. I don’t care if he’s 45, 55, 65 or 75. Don’t mess with the OG Pitbull”
