A popular wrestling veteran recently spoke openly about his dating life. Legendary AEW commentator Jim Ross is currently single but is not looking to rush into anything.
Ross’s wife, Jan, sadly passed away in a scooter accident back in 2017. This loss deeply affected the announcer. For several years, he described her as the love of his life. Since her passing, there have been speculations on whether the legendary announcer might date again. In fact, another popular wrestling personality, Missy Hyatt, revealed that she had dated Jim for a few years and the two shared a good relationship.
During a recent episode of Grilling JR, the veteran announcer was joking with host Conrad Thompson about finding a partner for himself. Good 'ol JR detailed that there was a deeper meaning behind his taking time. The 73-year-old commentator noted that he was older and hadn't found the right person yet. He also felt that he didn't care much about being in a relationship.
"BlueChew puts the lead in your pencil, Conrad. It puts the lead in your pencil. And, as my daddy would say, ‘Son, you ain’t got nobody to write to.' " He continued, "Oh yeah. I don’t discriminate whatsoever, but I haven’t found the right lady yet. I guess the older you get, sometimes you get less motivated. That’s where BlueChew comes in." During the same conversation, the veteran commentator spoke about working with AEW. He noted that his health was better now, and he could travel more for pay-per-views with the company.
"I'm having a blast working for AEW. Now that my health is better, you'll be seeing more of me on AEW, I think. I'll certainly continue to work the PPVs. Until recently, I hadn't felt well enough to travel and then go out and do a show. And the way Tony's using me, and the way he's booking me is perfect."The veteran was full of praise for Tony Khan, claiming that the company CEO was using him well for events. Ross said that he was blessed to still be working in the business he loved.
