Ryan Clark had a heated debate with his "The Pivot Podcast" co-host Channing Crowder on Friday. When the group was discussing a topic on whether it was 'okay to marry your best friend's widow,' Clark was against the arrangement, while Crowder was seemingly cool with the idea.

Crowder suggested that a widow becomes a "free agent" after her husband passes. The former Miami Dolphins linebacker also asked Clark if he would want his wife to remain "lonely forever" if he died.

"I don't want her to be consoled by my best friend with his p*n*s," Clark said.

Crowder attempted to back up his argument, but Clark was not willing to change his stance.

"You think that it would be okay if you married your best friend's widow? It's wrong," Clark said. "That's your best friend, and he's dead. You gonna go live in his house?"

Clark married his long-time partner, Yonka, in 2004. The couple has three children together: a daughter named Jaden, a son named Jordan, and another daughter named Loghan.

Meanwhile, Crowder has three children with his wife, Aja Crowder, whom he married in 2011.

On Friday, Ryan Clark heaped praise on Texas quarterback Arch Manning for proving his critics wrong amid a challenging schedule for the team.

"The one thing I do want to say about (Manning) and his family is that none of the things that were heaped on him before the season were because of him," Clark said on "First Take." "He said himself 'allow me to play football.' His family hasn't come out and refuted anything. They haven't said anything to the negativity that he's received, and all that young man has done is put his head down and continue to work."

Manning's No. 10 Texas Longhorns suffered a 35-10 loss to No. 5 Georgia on Saturday. The Longhorns' chances of making the College Football Playoff are now minimal, even if they win their two remaining regular-season games.
