Demetrious Johnson recently opened up about having to pause 'The Mighty Guru Show' that he co-hosted with MMA Guru.

For context, MMA Guru is a popular combat sports content creator who is well-known for his loud, brash, and outspoken style of expression. Johnson teamed up with him earlier this year to launch 'The Mighty Guru Show' on YouTube, which proved to be an immense success.

Islam Makhachev defeated Jack Della Maddalena via unanimous decision to win the welterweight title at UFC 322 last weekend. MMA Guru covered the fight via livestream, during which he made some very unsavory comments about Makhachev and his countrymen.

MMA-based X handle @MMAJOEYC shared a video compilation of the controversial content creator's unhinged comments during the UFC 322 livestream, which led to many questioning Johnson's relationship with him.

In a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Johnson addressed the matter and announced that the show they co-hosted has been put on ice for the time being. Expressing his dismay about MMA Guru's comments, he said:

"Yes, 'The Mighty Guru' pod is on ice right now. It's not over completely. Guru said some things that obviously I don't agree with... I do not watch all of Guru's content. I don't babysit him. I don't see what he's saying whatsoever... Did I address Guru off-camera about this situation? Yes, I did. We talked about it before we filmed the last episode of 'The Mighty Guru Show.'"

He continued:

"I did call him out on it... I asked Guru to stop saying these things... If my son were to talk like that, my son would be getting an ass whooping from me because I didn’t raise him like that."

MMA Guru defends Demetrious Johnson while announcing the end of 'The Mighty Guru Show'

MMA Guru recently addressed 'The Mighty Guru Show' being paused indefinitely and defended Demetrious Johnson against online criticisms. The content creator fired back at his critics and slammed them for targeting Johnson.

In an X post, the controversial MMA-based influencer wrote:

"I was fine with you p*ssies on here acting like I was a murderer because I called someone inbr*d & told some guy spamming in my live chat to cry at a border, but now you're targeting DJ, I'll drop the news early. 'The Mighty Guru Show' is over. DJ stood his base! Video dropping soon. I get it, a lot of p*ssy b*tch victims on here crying about a donation from 2019 and words on a live stream, but the 'How does DJ collaborate with this guy?' stuff gotta stop. We spoke right after the pod dropped about it. I messaged him the other day saying I'm good to back down."
