Michael Chandler vs. Conor McGregor is a fight the UFC has been trying to put together for almost two years.
With 'The Notorious' itching to make his MMA return at UFC White House, he seems eager to finally settle the score. Chandler, for his part, also feels optimistic that the fight will finally come to fruition this time around.
The pair was originally scheduled to fight at UFC 303 in 2024, before the Irishman pulled out of the event due to a toe injury. Since then, Chandler fought twice, losing on both occasions.
Regardless, McGregor has his sights set on 'Iron' as he tries to secure a spot on the White House card. During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, the former double champion confirmed that the bout had already been verbally agreed.

In a recent appearance on the Ariel Helwani Show, Chandler reciprocated the sentiment, noting that he feels confident the fight would come to fruition:
"He said it was a done deal. Done deal reminds you of Conor circa 2016, circa 2017, 2014, back in the heyday... He was an any person, any time. anywhere, it's a done deal, Conor McGregor. Is he that guy? We don't know, but in his mind, it sounds like it's a done deal... I'm the guy he wants to fight, at the White House, on the lawn. The fight makes a ton of sense. He is a man of his word. We have a contract that was signed and then ripped up because of his doing [referring to UFC 303]. So, I do feel more confident about it."Check out Michael Chandler's comments on a potential Conor McGregor fight below:
