"I am rightfully the World Heavyweight Champion" - CM Punk's title reign questioned by major WWE star

A major WWE star believes they are the real World Heavyweight Champion. CM Punk captured the title by defeating Jey Uso at Saturday Night's Main Event on November 1.

Seth Rollins was recently interviewed by ClutchPoints, and he suggested that he was still the World Heavyweight Champion. The Visionary cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Punk at SummerSlam 2025 but was forced to relinquish the title due to injury earlier this year.

“The primary [target] in my return will actually not be a person at all, it’ll be a thing. That would be the World Heavyweight Championship because I never lost the title, so I am rightfully the World Heavyweight Champion. I was stripped of that championship, and anybody who [is] in possession of that title, be it CM Punk, be it Bron Breakker, anybody who stands in my way, they will be dealt with," he said. The Vision betrayed Seth Rollins and brutally attacked him as a way to write him off WWE television. Bron Breakker is scheduled to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship on the January 5, 2026, episode of RAW.

Seth Rollins names major WWE star as John Cena's replacement

RAW star Seth Rollins recently suggested that Cody Rhodes would be serving as John Cena's replacement for the company.

Speaking on the Games with Names podcast, the former champion noted that Rhodes has positioned himself well in the promotion and WWE views him as a potential replacement for Cena. The 48-year-old retired from in-ring competition following his loss to Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event.

"He had done his due diligence while he was gone to get himself to a position where when we brought him back he was ready to be kind of one of the top acts in the company... When he did leave, he was not that guy, and top brass didn't see him as that guy. So, he was coming back in a position where hopefully they were hoping that they could groom him to be in the John Cena position," he said.

Only time will tell when Seth Rollins will be able to return to WWE following his injury.
