Dustin Rhodes has just given fans an update regarding his condition amidst his hiatus from AEW. He is currently recovering after undergoing surgery a few months ago.

Back in August, The Natural announced that he would need double knee replacement surgery. He boldly claimed, however, that this was not the end of his career and that he'd be back. His injuries were not due to a single specific instance, but rather seemed to be a lingering condition that had manifested itself.

Dustin Rhodes has taken to X/Twitter to give an update on his recovery progress. He mentioned that they have increased the intensity of his rehabilitation, which left him feeling sore afterwards. The veteran was still fully determined to keep on pushing, but was still fully aware of the limitations of his current condition.

"Rehab update: We stepped it up today and man, sore as s**t. I push really hard and will get back to it when Im ready. Gotta #KeepSteppin" Rhodes wrote.

Dustin Rhodes confirms he's not leaving AEW anytime soon

The former TNT Champion is in the latter parts of his career, but despite his age, he is still able to put on major performances in the ring against top stars on the roster.

Earlier today, a fan replied to his post on social media and urged him to bring his current gimmick to WWE. He rejected their proposal and reiterated how he was a part of AEW.

"Hey!! NOOOOO. I am @AEW" Rhodes wrote.

Dustin Rhodes' contributions to AEW and ROH cannot be denied, and he was on a major run before he came down with injuries. There came a point where he held the TNT title, the ROH Tag team titles, and the ROH Six-Man Tag Team titles simultaneously, which proves he still has what it takes. But for now, he'll have to get past this current hurdle.
