Bella Hadid is in the hospital: a health update she shared with her millions of fans and followers on Instagram on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The 28-year-old model shared a photodump, and several of the photos she posted are of her lying down on a hospital bed.

The pictures she shared alternated between candid moments, including one of Hadid clutching a coffee cup in an elevator corner, a close-up of her applying ice to her forehead, and one where she appeared to be hooked up to IV bags. In the caption, the supermodel wrote:

"I' sorry I always go MIA I love you guys."

While Bella Hadid didn't specify her health condition and the reason that landed her in the hospital in her post, she was diagnosed with Lyme disease when she was 16 years old. Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, who was also diagnosed with Lyme disease alongside Bella's brother, Anwar, also alluded to her Lyme disease diagnosis in the comment section of the post, writing, "Lyme warrior."

Support for the fashion model from family, friends, and fans also flooded the comments, including one from her sister, Gigi Hadid, who wished that she would soon "feel as strong and good" as she deserves.

Yolanda Hadid shares update on daughter Bella Hadid's Lyme disease journey

Shortly after Bella Hadid's cryptic Instagram post showing her hooked up to IVs on Wednesday, September 17, her mother, Yolanda Hadid, expounded on her daughter's latest health struggle. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills shared a series of photos of her daughter in the hospital and opened up about her daughter's struggle with Lyme disease. She wrote in the caption:

"As you will understand watching my Bella struggle in silence, has cut the deepest core of hopelessness inside me... I try to lead by example on our Lyme journey but my own pain cannot compare to watching my baby suffer."

She referred to Lyme disease as an "invisible disability" that is "hard to explain or understand" for anyone. Yolanda Hadid also discussed her own battle with Lyme and how she stopped sharing her personal story to focus on her healing journey. After over a decade of battling with the disease, the Hadid matriarch added that she's "still determined to find a cure [for Lyme disease] affordable for all."

She also praised Bella Hadid for being "relentless and courageous" throughout her struggle with the "incurable chronic disease." Yolanda Hadid added that she admired her daughter's "bravery" and her willingness to continue fighting despite the setbacks she has experienced. She further said in a message to Bella Hadid:

"I am so proud of the fighter that you are. You are not alone, I promise to have your back every step of the way, no matter how long this takes."

She also alluded to the fashion model going through a "month of treatment" before calling her daughter a "bada** Warrior."

Bella Hadid's recent hospitalization came over two years after she shared on Instagram in August 2023 that she was "finally healthy" after over a decade of "invisible suffering" and after "100+ days" of Lyme and chronic disease treatment.
