Hockey players dream of this moment, the chance to go and play for the Stanley Cup.

That's where the Carolina Hurricanes are heading, and the moment clearly means a lot to their standout defenseman K'Andre Miller.

Miller was caught on cameras after Friday night's clinching Game 5 win sitting on the bench with tears running down his face.

He wasn't alone, though. He was with his new son, Kashton.

Kashton is less than a month old. He was born to Miller and his girlfriend, Addison, on May 2.

Miller played that night and won, a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 1 of the second round.

Now, the Hurricanes have dispatched the Canadiens in a 4-1 series win, and they're heading to the Stanley Cup Finals.

They'll be opposed by the Vegas Golden Knights, who shockingly swept the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference Final.

It will be the first time on this stage for Miller, who is in his first year with Carolina after spending the beginning of his NHL career with the New York Rangers.

Clearly, Miller has had a special month in his life.

He'll be hoping June can include an incredibly special moment, too -- the chance to hoist the Cup.
