Additionally, the high flyer made history recently by becoming the inaugural AEW National Champion. However, the One and Only star suffered a major setback at Worlds End when his team lost to JetSpeed and Jurassic Express on the Zero Hour show.

Following this shocking loss, AEW announced that the former WWE star will defend his National Championship against Jack Perry on the upcoming New Year's Smash episode of Dynamite.

Jack Perry broke his silence after pinning Ricochet at AEW Worlds End

At AEW Worlds End 2025, The Demand teamed with Josh Alexander to face the team of Jurassic Express and JetSpeed. During the contest, Jack Perry was able to pin the One and Only star to pick up the win for his team.

Following the match, AEW cameras caught up with Jack Perry, who said that he was confident he could pin the former WWE star one more time at New Year's Smash.

"Ricochet, you and your goons attacked me and Luchasaurus before we could even get to the ring. He is in the doctor's office right now, healing up. And our very first time in the ring together, and you know what happened right there, I pinned you. I think I could do it again very soon, but this time for your National Championship," he said.

It will be interesting to see if Jack Perry will walk away with the National Championship at New Year's Smash.
