Trinidad Chambliss began his college football career at Division II Ferris State, which is in Big Rapids, Michigan.
He transferred from there to Ole Miss ahead of the 2025 college football season.
How did Trinidad Chambliss go from Ferris State to Ole Miss?
Chambliss grew into a Division II superstar to earn his D-I chance.
He's from Grand Rapids, Michigan where he played QB at Forest Hills Northern High School.
He stayed in-state to attend Ferris State. He didn't play much in 2022 or 2023. But in 2024, Chambliss became the full-time starter and went 14-1 to lead Ferris State to a national championship.
In the title game, Chambliss put up five total touchdowns.
For the season, he had 2,925 passing yards and 26 passing touchdowns, paired with 1,019 rushing yards and 25 rushing TDs.
He came to Ole Miss and lost the starting job to Austin Simmons. But when Simmons got hurt, Chambliss took the job and didn't give it back.
Chambliss won SEC Newcomer of the Year honors and was named second-team All-SEC.
Now, he's chasing a national title at the highest rung of the ladder after winning one in Division II last year.
