How to unlock Augment Research in Black Ops 7 Zombies

Augment Research allows you to unlock Augments for various enhancements in Black Ops 7 Zombies. The Augment mechanism was introduced in Black Ops 6 Zombies, where you could equip Augments to enhancements like Field Upgrades, Perk-a-Colas, and Ammo Mods. This further improves the enhancement's performance with added benefits.

However, the Augments for each enhancement are not unlocked by default; you need to research the available Augments for each one.

This article will provide detailed information on how you can unlock the Augment Research feature and how to research Augments for different enhancements in Black Ops 7 Zombies.

Unlock procedure for Augment Research in Black Ops 7 Zombies

Initially, when you start playing, the Augment Research feature will be locked. You need to reach Player Level 11 to unlock this feature.

Once unlocked, you can easily navigate to the Augment Research option and select which enhancements’ Augments you want to unlock. Afterward, simply play matches. As you continue playing, you will gradually unlock Augments for that particular enhancement.

Before heading further, you should know that there are two types of Augments available: Minor and Major. For each enhancement, there will be eight Augments available: four Major and four Minor.

• You can only equip one Major and one Minor Augment (a total of two) to each enhancement if you have not unlocked all eight Augments for that specific enhancement.
• If you unlock all eight Augments for a specific enhancement, you can then equip two Minor Augments, meaning you will be able to equip a total of three Augments (one Major and two Minor).

Furthermore, if you played Black Ops 6 Zombies and have Augment Research progress, this will be carried over to Black Ops 7 Zombies. Previously in BO6 Zombies, there were six Augments available for each enhancement. Here in BO7 Zombies, you will get two additional Augments (one Major and one Minor), making the total eight for each enhancement.
