The much-awaited SpongeBob Squarepants Sidekick in Fortnite was first added in Chapter 7 Season 1 in the v39.11 update. Epic Games added the popular character from the iconic franchise as a Sidekick, allowing players to be accompanied by the famous yellow character. Apart from the Sidekick, the developers have also introduced an array of items based on the world of Bikini Bottom.

Here's how you can get your hands on the SpongeBob Squarepants Sidekick in Fortnite.

How to get the SpongeBob Squarepants Sidekick in Fortnite Item Shop: Price and availability

As of today (December 20, 2025), the SpongeBob Sidekick in Fortnite is listed in the Item Shop under the SpongeBob Squarepants tab. It can be purchased via the SpongeBob Squarepants bundle and is part of the SpongeBob Squarepants set.

The SpongeBob Squarepants bundle comprises these ten items:

• SpongeBob Squarepants (Sidekick)
• SpongeBob Slippies (Kicks)
• Gary Slippies (Kicks)
• Jellyfish Jam (Emote)
• Lil' Big Jellyfish (Emote)
• Doodlebob (Back Bling)
• The Golden Spatula (Pickaxe)
• Goofy Goober (Guitar)
• Bikini Bottom Kit (Drums)
• Sweet Victory (Jam Track)

If you want all items in the SpongeBob Squarepants bundle, you can either purchase them for a discounted price of 3,000 V-Bucks instead of the regular 7,800 V-Bucks or get them separately.

SpongeBob Squarepants (Sidekick) can be purchased for 1,800 V-Bucks, while the SpongeBob Slippies (Kicks) and Gary Slippies (Kicks) can be obtained for 1,000 V-Bucks each. The Golden Spatula (Pickaxe), Sweet Victory (Jam Track), Jellyfish Jam (Emote), and Lil' Big Jellyfish (Emote) can be obtained for 500 V-Bucks each.

Meanwhile, the Goofy Goober (Guitar) and Bikini Bottom Kit (Drums) can be obtained for 800 V-Bucks each.

The SpongeBob Squarepants Sidekick in Fortnite will remain listed in the Item Shop till January 3, 2026, 7 pm Eastern Time. It must also be noted that the Sidekick and associated cosmetics in the bundle will return in a future shop rotation, as they are not exclusive to the pass or Season 7 Chapter 1.
