The Seal of the Second Trumpet is a unique ring in Diablo 4 tied to the Paladin class. The ring is designed around inflicting massive amounts of damage using the Paladin’s Judgement ability. Furthermore, this unique item boosts the damage output and defense of a build if it's equipped with unique weapons.

In this guide, we will break down the stats, unique effects, and how you can obtain the Seal of the Second Trumpet in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4: What is the Seal of the Second Trumpet?

The Seal of the Second Trumpet is an ancestral, unique ring exclusively designed for the new Paladin class in Diablo 4. The ring rolls with a solid set of stats that increases the Judgement ability of the Paladins while lowering the downtime between skill casts.

Stats of the Seal of the Second Trumpet

  • (8.1 - 8.8)% Cooldown Reduction (up to 13.2% with mastercrafting)
  • +(2 - 3) to Shining Armor (up to +5 with mastercrafting)
  • +(31.5 - 45.0)% Chance for Judgement to Deal Double Damage (up to +67.5% with mastercrafting)

Ranks to the Shining Armor passive increases the amount of damage output and armor you get from equipping unique items. While the unique ring grants increased max life and reduced cooldown time, it boosts the damage output of Judgement (marks an enemy for three seconds and deals 80% when it expires).

Unique effects of the Seal of the Second Trumpet

While Judgement has up to a 67.5% chance to deal double damage, it now also inflicts up to 250% multiplicative damage and has a 33% chance to explode twice, granting massive burst potential to the Paladins.

How to get the Seal of the Second Trumpet in Diablo 4

The Seal of the Second Trumpet can be acquired from multiple sources in Diablo 4, with some offering a higher drop rate than others. Here are all the best sources of the Seal of the Second Trumpet unique ring:

Boss Farming

As of now, only The Beast in the Ice has the Seal of the Second Trumpet in its loot pool. Farming the boss repeatedly grants the best chance for acquiring the unique ring in Diablo 4.

1) The Beast in the Ice

  • Location: Glacial Fissure dungeon, southern Kyovashad

  • Where to get boss hoard keys: Kurast Undercity (using Tribute of Titans), Nightmare Dungeons, and Whisper Caches (from the Tree of Whispers)

Nightmare Dungeon

Since the Seal of the Second Trumpet unique ring can drop from any random enemy or loot chest, the best place to farm it is in Nightmare dungeons, which require you to fight against mobs of regular and elite enemies. This high mob density of Nightmare dungeons drastically increases the drop rate of unique items. On completion of dungeons, the reward chest often drops unique items, making dungeon runs worth it.

World events and world bosses

World bosses and events (like Gathering Legions and Helltide events) have a higher chance of yielding unique items like the Seal of the Second Trumpet. Among them, the hourly Helltide events have the highest drop rate for uniques, as you can specifically target chests with a high chance of dropping unique items.

During the Helltides, collect Aberrant cinders and use them to open the following chests:

  • Tortured Gift of Jewelry: Rings (costs 75 Aberrant Cinders)
  • Tortured Gift of Mystery (costs 250 Aberrant Cinders)

While the Tortured Gift of Jewelry specifically targets rings and amulets, the drop rate is pretty low. On the other hand, the Tortured Gift of Mystery costs much more but offers a much higher drop rate for unique items.

Gamble for rings using Obols

Obols can be accrued randomly while exploring the open world of Diablo 4 and by completing random activities. After acquiring enough, you can spend 50 Obols to gamble for rings at the Purveyor of Curiosities.

The drop rate of uniques is extremely unreliable, making it an extra method for gear farming if you have an excess of Obols.
