Diablo 4 Season 11 added Dawnfire to its list of Uniques, and it’s just for Paladins. With the Lord of Hatred reveal, a mountain of Uniques were added to the game, so Paladins have something to hunt down and equip, and depending on which build you’re going, Dawnfire are definitely worth having. The good news is that we know what boss loot table it’s in, but the bad news is that like all Uniques, it’s not a guaranteed drop.

However, if you’re looking to play an Auradin, or want to run the Holy Light ability, having Dawnfire in Diablo 4 is going to be to your benefit. If you want to know where to find it, and what it does, we’re here to help you out.

Where to farm Dawnfire in Diablo 4 Season 11

The easiest place to farm Dawnfire in Diablo 4 is going to be Varshan’s Lair, next to the Tree of Whispers. You can find a map for it, if you need it, in the image below. Once you’re on Torment 1 or higher, you’ll see this on the map as a location you can go farm at.

You will need 12x Malignant Hearts for each chest when you kill Varshan. You can farm Malignant Hearts from Tree of Whispers caches, as well as a reward in The Undercity when you use Tribute of Titans. You can also get them from Mercenary Bartering and World Boss drops. Like the boss itself, you can only farm these on Torment difficulty, so keep that in mind.

Dawnfire can drop in other places in Diablo 4 as well, such as any of the in-game content. If you have a bunch of spare Murmuring Obols, you can go gamble with any of the Purveyor of Curiosities. Just make sure you pick gloves. A great way to pile up Obols is to equip Essence of Anguish in the Purified Slot, and go farm The Undercity in a group. You’ll have plenty to gamble with in no time at all. This only works for Seasonal servers, during Season 11.

What is Dawnfire’s Unique Effect in Diablo 4?

Dawnfire is a bit of a niche pick in D4, likely for Auradin builds. It’s built for players who use the Holy Light Aura, so anytime you have that equipped, this can be a nice Unique to equip. This Unique also adds Ranks to Righteousness, chance for Holy Light Aura to Deal Double Damage, +Strength and +Maximum Life. Here’s what the Unique Effect does:

“Holy Light’s passive now deals [225-450] Fire Damage every second around you. Each time an enemy dies within this aura, its damage increases by 50%[+] for 15 seconds, up to 10 times.”
