How to farm Maphica in Warframe

Maphica is one of the two resources obtainable exclusively from Descendia in Warframe. Rather than any crafting uses, this is essentially a token/currency to buy stuff from Roathe. The stuff in question is not only Uriel or Vinquibus parts that you're having a hard time with due to RNG, but also all the new non-Tektolyst Arcanes added in the Old Peace update.

This includes some particularly build-enabling Arcanes such as Arcane Persistence and Arcane Expertise, so you'll be a lot better-off in Warframe if you find a way to farm Maphica.

How to get more Maphica in Warframe

Maphica is exclusively obtainable from Descendia, but it does not drop from any enemies. Sometimes, you can get 5x (or 10x in SP) Maphica for a floor reward, but this is predetermined in the weekly rotation of Descendia.

That leaves out only one direct source of farming Maphica in Warframe: storage boxes and lockers. Generally, for super-rare resources like Argon Crystal, you'd go with a special build for farming storage boxes (Boxbreaker Limbo being one of the traditional options, now supplanted by an ult-spamming Xaku).

However, due to how small-sized the Infernum tiles are, it's better to just manually go around breaking boxes and opening lockers. The strat is the same as Rune Marrow farming in the Circuit: have someone with a high-range loot radar go around the floor breaking boxes while others focus on the objective. In turn, the teammate breaking the boxes can then waypoint the location once they get Maphica or Ignia.

Make sure to not beat the objective too fast, as waiting around too long automatically teleports you to the floor below.

In my experience, Steel Path doesn't seem to spawn Maphica much more frequently. The entire process is ultimately RNG-reliant, and you'll sometimes go multiple floors without a single drop, only to suddenly get a windfall drop of 10+ Maphica in a single floor.

Each storage box or locker that does contain it (i.e. you roll favorably) drops 3-5 Maphica, and this is doubled if you have a Resource Booster. With this booster on, it's reasonable to expect 100 Maphica on the average full 21-floor run of Descendia.

Finally, another way to farm Maphica is to grind the Perita Rebellion mission. Marie in La Cathedrale can sell Maphica or Ignia, which lets you exchange common Perita resources for a 10x Maphica bundle. This is why Nekros is one of the best Warframes to farm Perita Rebellion with (plus optionally a Resource Drop Chance Booster).

If you don't see it in her wares, wait for the next vendor reset (which has a low cooldown for Marie's inventory, fortunately).
