How much does Spike Lee pay for Knicks tickets?
In 2020, Spike Lee appeared on First Take to discuss his Knicks fandom and revealed that he spent about $300,000 per season on his courtside tickets. As Lee had been a season-ticket holder for 28 years, that means that he spent over $10 million on his seats through the 2019-2020 season, assuming the prices remained stagnant.

Of course, prices increased since then, and according to Boardroom, Lee's VIP tickets increased by about $600 per seat by 2024-25. Overall, Lee probably added over $1.8 million to his bill since the 2019-20 season.

How much does Spike Lee's seats cost?
According to Stephen A. Smith, Lee's tickets cost 3,400 per ticket back in 2020 for 41 preseason and regular season home games. Lee has two courtside seats, though, so he payed closer to $6,800 for those two seats each game.
Since then, however, Boardroom says that Lee's tickets have increased to $4,000 per seat in 2025, which is four times more than when he paid $1,000 per seat in 1995.

How long has Spike Lee had Knicks season tickets?
Lee bought his first set of Knicks season tickets in 1985, but he didn't get his VIP courtside seats until the middle of the 1990s when he rose to fame through as a successful director. He started in the nosebleed seats and made his way down to the VIP seats over the next decade.
"I got season tickets Patrick Ewing's rookie year," Lee said. "I didn't start courtside. I have moved down, they moved me down every year."
Lee's popularity at Knicks games coincided with the Knicks' success in the 1990s, as the team were a frequent playoff contender during the Chicago Bulls dynasty.
