There’s about to be a real racket in Flushing.
On Tuesday, Aug. 25, the 2026 US Open will get underway and bring in 256 — 128 men and 128 women — of the world’s best tennis players for three weeks of serves, volleys, overheads, triumphant victories, heartbreaking defeats, shocking upsets and delicious honey deuces.
Notable stars competing at this year’s late summer tourney include defending champions Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka as well as mainstays Novak Djokovic, Coco Gauff and Iga Świątek.
And, if you’d like to join them (and maybe Jannik Sinner if he recovers from his nagging knee injury), last-minute tickets are available for all matches from the first round all the way to the Finals.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one 2026 US Open event excluding general admission grounds passes was $49 including fees on SeatGeek.
Other matches/general admission passes start anywhere from $23 to $739 including fees.

Other big names set to step on the blue courts include Alexander Zverev, Jessica Pegula, Ben Shelton, Elena Rybakina and Daniil Medvedev.
The official announcement revealing all participants will be released Thursday, Aug. 20.
In addition to the high-stakes men’s and women’s singles and doubles, keep an eye out for special events including a Lumineers concert on Friday, Aug. 21 and a Roger Federer/John McEnroe/Andre Agassi/Andy Roddick exhibition match on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
According to the US Open “additional celebrity appearances and iconic surprises will delight fans throughout the evening [during the Federer exhibition].”
Prices are dropping for the special one-off, too. When we last reported on how much tickets cost to see the four legends face off, they started at $238 including fees.
A little more than two months later, you can snag them for $149 including fees.

Who is competing in the 2026 US Open Tennis?
We’re not quite sure yet.
Two days before the official tourney announcement, the entry lists are quite lengthy.
Based on our findings, there are 200 men and approximately 300 women who qualified just for the singles portion of the 2026 US Open.

What do I need to know about the Roger Federer exhibition match?
Most importantly, the Federer/McEnroe/Agassi/Roddick showdown is being billed as a “once-in-a-lifetime exhibition event” and may not happen again.
If you want to see the five-time US Open champ (that’s Federer) live, grab tickets before it’s too late.
“So many unforgettable moments of my career happened in New York, and Arthur Ashe Stadium is a place that means a great deal to me,” Federer, 44, said.
“I’ve missed being part of that atmosphere and feeling the incredible energy that the fans bring every year. To return to Arthur Ashe and share the evening with Andy, Andre and John makes it even more meaningful. I’m looking forward to celebrating those memories, seeing the fans again, and enjoying a very special night together.”
